I first saw Charlie Hunter in a small club south of market in San Francisco called The Elbow Room, I was blown away. Playing 7 or 8 strings, bass line, rythmn and lead lines simultaneously is more than most people could imagine never mind play live. Charlie attacks the guitar, he wrestles the notes out in perfect time and in a unique style.
